A real airline environment

Documentation, flight preparation, briefings, debriefings and airline-aligned methodology (CBTA / EBT). You learn like you would at an airline: structured, demanding, measurable.

Tools designed for learning

Next-gen A320 simulator, tracking tools, FMGC Trainer, Airbus documentation. A complete environment to progress fast and efficiently.

In-person theory training

Theory is delivered on-site, with a dedicated instructor — not through distance learning. You progress faster with immediate feedback and real support.

Iroise Aéro Formation

Since 2007, Iroise Aéro Formation has been delivering training aligned with airline requirements.

From humble beginnings, the school quickly established itself through a rigorous and demanding approach. The first simulators arrived, the team grew, and EASA ATO approval in 2014 confirmed the project’s credibility.

In 2019, Campus Iroise opened its doors, offering a modern facility designed for serious and immersive training.

The arrival of the FNPTII A320 in 2021 marked a new chapter: preparing young pilots for crew operations and current CBTA/EBT standards.

Today, our ambition remains unchanged: to bring every pilot to the level airlines actually expect — no shortcuts, no compromises.

FAQ

Got questions?

How does the APS-MCC training work?

The training follows an airline-style progression: structured preparation, paired simulator sessions on our next-gen FNPTII A320, and systematic debriefs. Everything is standardised to bring you up to current operational standards.

What simulator is used?

All sessions take place on our FNPTII A320 NGC — a latest-generation, high-fidelity simulator that replicates a real cockpit environment as closely as possible.

Do we work in pairs?

Yes. Working in pairs is the foundation of Multi-Crew. You alternate PF/PM roles to develop coordination, communication and task management — just like at an airline.

Will I have the same instructor for every session?

No. You’ll be supervised by several TRI/TRE instructors and active line pilots. This exposes each trainee to different styles, standards and experiences — a key asset for what comes next.

Is the training intensive?

Yes. APS-MCC requires commitment and personal preparation. We provide the training materials and briefings you need to approach each session effectively.

What is the end goal of APS-MCC?

To bring you to the operational level expected at airline selections and at the start of a Type Rating: risk management, CRM, prioritisation, situational analysis and decision-making.

Is there a final exam?

Yes. A final assessment is carried out at the end of the programme. If unsuccessful, you still receive the MCC/JOC certificate. Additional sessions and a retake can also be arranged.

What are the prospects after APS-MCC?

APS-MCC is now the preferred standard for many European airlines. It’s the final preparation step before applying as a First Officer on CS25 aircraft.

Is the training available in English?

Yes. The training can be delivered in French or English, depending on your preference.

Do I need a specific level to start APS-MCC?

A valid CPL/IR/ME and a solid grasp of aviation English are all you need. We provide the rest through a structured, airline-focused approach.

Is there free time during the training?

The workload is demanding, but you’ll still have time to organise yourself outside of sessions. The key is to stay focused and prepared!
